Note: there is a limit of 10 tickets / participants for each time slot. Please sign up and reserve a spot if interested. If the decision is made to cancel this event due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, refunds will be issued.
Pamper your dog or cat with a premium handmade stoneware pet bowl, with a portion of the proceeds going to The Briggs Animal Adoption Center. Each original ceramic pet bowl is handcrafted in clay and high fired by local Urban Easel artist, Tricia Simpson. The bowl will then be “designed “ ( hand painted / glazed) by you! Once glazed, Tricia will take it back to her studio, let your art work completely dry, then the art work will be high fired in a kiln at over 2000 degrees. All pottery will be dish washer, microwave, and food safe and ready for pick up in a couple of weeks. Pick up date to be determined.
On the day of the event, there will be a variety of pet bowl sizes, shapes and designs that vary from simple to elaborate for you to choose. Some may even be carved. You’ll pay $34 to enter event, remainder cost will be due at the event and is dependent on the bowl style you choose. Please bring an additional $12-20 cash to cover art work, glaze , firing and taxes.
Deadline to register is : Friday, May 1st. There are 4 (1) hour sessions for you to choose from. At the start of the hour, the teacher will give a quick lesson on how to properly apply glaze and then let you get creative.
