Kodiak

Kodiak is a quiet and friendly girl.

She is very anxious with new things and people but, we are told that she loves other dogs.

Kodiak may benefit from a home that has another dog to help her gain confidence and provide companionship.

We recently placed her on medication for anxiety and we are hopeful that it will provide her with some relief.

Currently, she has a hard time with leash walking and often “freezes up”.  However, in the play yards she does well and is interested in the other dogs around her.

At this time we are requiring that potential adopters have a 6 foot high securely fenced yard for Kodiak’s well being.

Kodiak would also do better in a quieter home with a consistent and stable home environment.

We are told she is housebroken as well but we cannot guarantee this.

It’s important that when she first arrives at your home, you take her outside frequently (and praise her when she relieves herself) to establish a routine for her in her new home.

This sweet girl just needs a chance to feel safe and secure again.

Kodiak passed away on 10/29/2019.  She is stealing dog toys and squeaking hedgehog stuffed animals in heaven.

Rest in peace sweet girl. We will miss you.
