Dusty

Dusty is a sweet and quiet girl

She started out life as a stray before eventually being adopted.

Unfortunately, that home recently decided they could not keep her.

Dusty has had a rough life thus far and really deserves a forever home with understanding and patient caregivers.

We are told that she does not do well with small children and is also initially afraid of most men.

Our male caregivers are working with her to try to regain her trust while she is here.

Dusty would likely do well in a quieter home where she can finally start to feel like she is safe and will not be discarded again.

She loves attention and scratches from her trusted caregivers and just wants to be loved.

We are told that Dusty is housebroken.

It’s important that when she first arrives at your home, you take her outside frequently (and praise her when she relieves herself) to establish a routine for her in her new home.

We also learned that Dusty may bolt and is a bit of an escape artist with doors so potential adopters should pay close attention to her in these situations.
