Tilly is a “Special Needs” dog and she is the definition of “Never Giving Up”

She was found shot on the side of the road and left for dead.

The extensive damage to her left hind leg was so severe that it required an amputation in order to save Tilly’s life.

Thankfully this little girl has a fighting spirit and big heart!

Those qualities combined with the efforts of or Veterinary Staff helped her to make a full physical recovery.

Her emotional healing has been a bit slower and this is the main reason that she is considered a “Special Needs” dog.

Tilly is still very scared and shy when it comes to new things or loud noises.

She is warming up to many of her trusted caregivers thanks to their devoted care and she is becoming playful with them.

Tilly loves to play with her playgroup of little dog friends.  She can run zoomies fast on three legs!

She was best friends with adoptable dog Ryder who just recently found his forever home.

Tilly really misses her best friend and needs another companion dog to help her gain confidence and to be a playmate.

We would like for Tilly to go to a home with another compatible dog for this reason.

She will require many visits with potential adopters and their current dog(s) in order to allow her to become comfortable with them.

Tilly would like a quiet home without a lot of activity and would probably do better in a home without small children for this reason.

She is not quite ready for a harness or leash walking yet.

For this reason we are requiring that potential adopter have a securely fenced yard.

We hope to find adopters who are dedicated to helping her become a more confident and happy dog.

She deserves a forever home where she can feel safe, secure and loved for the rest of her days.

If you think you have what it takes to never give up on this little fighter please contact our adoption department.
