Emmy

Emmy is a sweetheart.

She came to us from another rescue where she had been since she was a puppy.

Emmy takes just a minute to warm up to new people and then she is all cuddles and love.

She likes to be held, petted and scratched.  And, she adores playing with all of her toys.

Potential adopters should be aware that Emmy needs to eat on a regular schedule as low blood sugar can lead to seizures with her.

This can be quite common in smaller dogs and she does not require medication for it.  She just needs meals and snacks to keep her healthy and happy.

Emmy would prefer a home with just adults or at least no small children as she can become anxious with a lot of activity and noise.

It should also be noted that Emmy has not yet learned to walk on a leash.

We will be working with her while she is in our care to see if we can help her learn to leash walk.

In the meantime a home with fenced yard would be helpful but is not required.
