Bark at the Moon Glow Walk 2022 - Briggs Animal Adoption Center

*Update: We will not be having a “Bark at the Moon Glow Walk” in 2023 as we will be celebrating our parent organization’s (NHES) 75th Anniversary in September 2023. We look forward to seeing everyone there and hope you will attend our “Bark at the Moon Glow Walk 2024” in early September 2024! Thank you for all of your support!

The Briggs Animal Adoption Center (BAAC) will welcome visitors to a dog friendly moonlit stroll, paired with fun activities for the family including a photo booth, face painting, refreshments, a 50/50 raffle and meet adoptable dogs. Participants are invited to dress their dog up in their glow-in–the-dark best to compete for the title of Best Dressed Glow Dog. The top 3 winners will receive prizes.  The event takes place on Friday, September 9th with doors open at 6:30, walk at 7:45 p.m.

The course runs around the grounds of BAAC and is just over one mile long. General admission is $5, children are $2. (Registration includes one free glow stick.) Additional glow-in-the dark accessories will be available for purchase at the event.  In the event of heavy rain or thunderstorms, the Glow Walk will be rescheduled for Friday, September 16th. All proceeds will benefit BAAC and all of the animals living in the facility.

BAAC is a program of The National Humane Education Society (NHES), a private nonprofit organization that relies solely on charitable donations to carry out its program services.  The BAAC’s mission is to place companion animals in loving homes with compassionate people who will make lifelong commitments to them by accepting them as a member of their family.
