Name : Fern
Breed : Plott Hound
DOB : 01/24/2016
Gender : Female
Weight : 45.9 lbs
Fern was an owner release and this friendly girl is ready for her forever home
She came to us in a very emaciated state from a shelter but it hasn’t diminished her loving demeanor.
Fern is just a sweetheart and adores people. We are told that she does well with children too.
She loves to play and interact with her caregivers here. She shows love every chance she gets.
We were also told that Fern was given up to a previous shelter because there was another dog in the home who had issues with her. We don’t know what that meant so we’ll be updating her bio as we see how she interacts with other dogs here at Briggs. She appears to be more submissive than aggressive so if you have another dog in your home and want to have Fern and your dog meet, we can see how they hit it off. (Perhaps she was competing for food since she arrived so emaciated!)
As we see how Fern plays and interacts with other dogs, we’ll update her page. Fern was house-trained previously but we cannot guarantee it. It’s important that when she first arrives at your home, you take her outside frequently (and praise her when she relieves herself) to establish a routine for her in her new place.
She would love to show you just how big of a heart she has and hopes that you might be the one to give her a forever home of her own soon!
