Meet BAAC’s masked crusader!
Batman has been at The Briggs Animal Adoption Center since March of 2018. When he arrived here, he weighed nearly 30 lbs. due to his previous owner’s poor feeding habits. His previous owners were often not at home, so they left large quantities of food out for him to eat without any supervision or exercise. Batman’s situation was very serious as he was unable to walk or be picked up without severe pain, and he had become diabetic.
With the help of BAAC’s veterinary staff and attendants, Batman has made steady progress in his health. In order to get him moving, staff members keep several small food bowls in different rooms so that he has to walk to get to his food during specially-scheduled meal times. He finally got to the point where he could actually play, and now runs up and down the stairs! He has lost over 16 pound and is no longer diabetic!
