“Each time a euthanizing agent enters the bloodstream of a healthy animal, we wound humanity.”
Anna C. Briggs, Founder The National Humane Education Society
Spay Today, a program of The National Humane Education Society, provides low-cost spay/neuter assistance to people who understand the need to spay/neuter their companion animals but who cannot afford the normative fees that are charged for these procedures. At the end of Fiscal Year 2007, Spay Today arranged for the low-cost spay/neuter of 3,018 companion dogs and cats.
Spay Today operates from The Briggs Animal Adoption Center where it continues to expand with a growing network of participating veterinarians whose service area includes portions of West Virginia, Maryland, and Virginia. During the upcoming years, we have every expectation that Spay Today will surpass 3,000 spay/neuters on an annual basis. Spay Today Office Hours: Sundays & Mondays: Closed to the PublicTuesday: By Appointment only Wednesdays: 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursdays: 12:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Fridays: 12:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. Saturdays: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
