Pedal for Pooches

Our Pedal for Pooches event on Saturday, April 12, 2008 was awesome!

Seventh Annual Pedal for Pooches

Nearly 150 riders gathered together on Saturday morning, April 12, 2008, to participate in the Seventh Annual Pedal for Pooches bike ride to help care for the dogs and cats at the Briggs Animal Adoption Center (BAAC).

Through sponsors, participation fees, and financial pledges to riders of two teams, Shelby’s Slow Riders and PK Peddlers, nearly $30,000 was raised and pledges are still coming in.

This was the largest ridership in the seven year history of Pedal for Pooches and—due to generous charitable support—the dollar amount raised is almost double that of last year.

We thank all of you who participated—riders, volunteers, employees and, most important—you, the individual donor who made this day a landmark success.
