Chetty is a sweetheart who was previously hit by a car and lost her eye.

We were called by a rescue group who had been contacted by an owner telling them that their dog had been hit by a car and her eye was badly damaged.

The owner went on to explain that after Chetty was hit, Chetty's owner just put her back in her pen with her puppies (because there was no money available to treat the dog).

But after a week of no medical care, the owner thought that maybe Chetty might need some help so the rescue group was called. Chetty's eye was so badly damaged by that point that it had to be removed right away.

And before you wonder why the authorities weren't called, there are no "authorities" to contact in this particular rural area (which, unfortunately, happens in many rurual areas of this country).

To think that this sweet girl had been in such pain for over a week is very upsetting, but at least we have her now and she is doing wonderfully.  It is amazing how forgiving these creatures are.

Chetty deserves a wonderful home, with loving people and lots of attention.
