This blue-eyed beauty is named Bloomery.

Bloomery is one of the sweetest dogs you can imagine.  And after what he has been through, it's amazing.

You may notice that Bloomery's left eye is smaller and offset from his right eye. When our veterinarian examined Bloomery, she was surprised to find that at one time, Bloomery's skull had been fractured.

He's just a little over a year of age so it may have happened to him as a young pup. Fortunately, our veterinarian did not see any permanent damage. It appears that Bloomery has sight out of that eye. 

Since Bloomery had been a stray in the West Virginia mountains, he's not talking as to what happened to him.  All we know is that he is just a doll with people and likes to play with other dogs. When he was examined by the vet, he allowed her to look into the eye, check out his ears and give his vaccinations with no problem. He seemed to love the attention.

He does have herding instincts and would need to be watched around small farm animals.

Bloomery deserves a loving and dedicated home and in return, we think he'll be a loving and dedicated companion.
