Josey is a petite, shy dog who needs a little confidence building.
Sometimes she will hide out when first meeting new people and especially younger, active children.
If a stranger picks her up suddenly, Josey will also squeal out of fear. We have been working with her to help build up her confidence but the individual(s) who adopt her will need to give her the time and love she needs to come around and not be so afraid of new people.
If her adopter(s) would be willing to take her to a group obedience training class, this should help Josey to learn to relate to her new adopter, as well as other strangers.
Some things that Josey enjoys are the swimming pool and playing with the ball.
