Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm the Potomac Valley Audubon Society will be at Briggs and our Humane Education Building to tag Monarch Butterflies.
September is the month that most monarchs will migrate through our region on the way to Mexico where they will spend the winter. The Monarch Alliance, a program of the Potomac Valley Audubon Society, will be sponsoring activities during the month of September to celebrate this special event.
Join Joette Borzik at the Briggs Animal Adoption Center from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The shelter will also be open for adoptions at this time.
Participants should meet Joette in the center’s parking lot. From there, Joette will teach and help guide participants on the process of tagging monarchs.
The Monarch Discovery Day events will be free. Come join us!
